"Friends" and "FOES" on a forum??

I've seen the "add friends" thing before, but never "foes." Is that function something usually seen in forums? I don't usually frequent forums, so if this is old news, please let me know.

What is the "foe" option really for?
And does that mean I can make you all my foes? <3

Adding someone to your "Foes" list generally makes that your ignore list, just under a different title. They wont be able to PM you, see your online status, or leave messages on your visitors wall.
